6th Generations of Beekeepers
Our Family Story
From humble beginnings to where we are today, our journey has been driven by passion, dedication, and a love for what we do.
Where it all started
Parley Grigg began the Grigg family’s love of honeybees—or at least, as far back as we know!
His son, William “Bill” Grigg, carried that connection forward, making a living as both a dairy farmer and beekeeper.
Then came Donald Grigg, who decided milking cows wasn’t for him. Instead, he took a chance on building a livelihood entirely around bees. In 1971, he founded Grigg Apiaries, Inc. in Oregon.
With each passing generation, the family’s knowledge, dedication, and love for honeybees have continued to grow. Here’s how our beekeeping legacy has been passed down through the generations:

Expanding our vision
As the beekeeper line grew, so did our business. We learned, adapted, and refined our craft, always keeping our core values at the heart of everything we do.
Where we are now
Today, we continue to honor our roots while looking toward the future. Every product we create carries the care and attention that has defined our family for generations. We’re also committed to educating others, sharing the remarkable story of honeybees, and spreading awareness of their essential role in our food supply, environment, and future—all while celebrating the goodness they bring to our world.
